lunar eclipse?

This started as a little sketch that sat in my sketchbook for months, until i picked it up a few nights ago and finished it spontaneously, in an entirely different way than I originally intended.

I didn't really look at the moon I'd drawn until I was finished with the whole thing, and it looks just like a lunar eclipse - straight up and down, instead of a sideways crescent. Anyway. I know this drawing isn't all that great, but at least I've managed to finish something even with rugby, gym, horses, homework, and social time all getting in the way.
